Mural Completed

From top to bottom : a complete picture of the mural painting at Fuchun Primary of the Music Room from left to right.

After weeks of hard work and cooperation with our team which consists of Fizah, Zad,Kris, Cassandra and myself, Our mural painting project at Fuchun Primary has completed. We're very proud and happy with our work as we put in so much effort in making this primary school a much more colourful and creative place. The first time our artwork has been publicised(i guess.. haha). Congratulation guys!!

I had to paint for my bf's brother his portrait with his gf. it wasnt a good piece coz i didnt spend time doing his brother's face. his gf looks the same though.

At this point of time, we thought that we could never make it because we were taking too much time to plan. So, we sped up our work and it was 80% done.. I love watching the curious primary school kids watching us do the mural.

My boyfriend in B&W

During my free time, i painted a portrait of my boyfriend, Na'el. This time i tried painting it in black & white. I guess i paint better using black and white because it's easier to paint when i don't have to handle so much colours by mixing here and there. okay maybe his hair looks a bit funny.. maybe because i hate doing hair and that i don't know how to deal with hair in detail.

We did a figure drawing in one of our drawing lessons. a Female model. At first all of us thought that the model would be nude but she wasn't but she's pretty anyway.. i liked her lips coz it looks sexy on her. ;)

5 different expressions of my dumb face. Despite the rain, hot sun and darkness when night falls, i managed to finish all 5. But out of the 5 i only like 2 of them which is the shocked and sad expression coz i took more time to paint them than the rest.

2D - Mural Painting at Fuchun Primary School

Outside the music room of Fuchun Primary. Our assigned area.

Mural painting at Fuchun Primary School will be our first outdoor project doing for a client.
My group is made up of 5 people - Nur Hafizah, Suhaizad, Kris, Cassandra and myself.
All of us had to come up with at least 3 individual designs.

2D - Mural Painting at Fuchun Primary School

It was really stressful coming up with a design to suit the walls of the music room at Fuchun Pri.. So My group members and I decided to come up with a combine design and it got selected...

So.. On the 3rd week, we went to Fuchun Primary to start doing the outlines of our design.
It was harder than i thought it would be. It was hard for me to reach the top area coz i'm short!
The first day of starting our work there, we only did the outline. We planned to start on our painting the next week.

Drawing - Portait(Diff angles)

For drawing class, we were instructed to do 4 portraits of diff angles, and 25 other drawings on our nose, eyes, hair, ears and lips.
Out of the 4 portraits that i did, im only satisfied with the top 2.. the 2 bottom portraits weren't exact as my face.

We had to combine a weird face with a weird hair. It didn't look like me coz it's hard to erase charcoal.

3D - clay

Clay project was fun coz we get to shape an animal of our choice out of the clay. It must be realistic in order to pass.

Sensitivity is one of the factor for a good clay work. in order to make it look real, you have to feel your work too. imagine that you are holding the real animal and try to feel the contours of the body.

I did a wombat.. i guess wombats are uncommon animals thats why many people who saw my clay work thought it was some pig or wat. haha..

anyway.. i like it so much.

Drawing - Still Life

It was our first few lessons. Rashid placed some objects on the table in the middle of the class.
We were told to do a still life drawing using charcoal. It was some kind of a drawing test.
Almost everything i did at Lasalle is new to me. Even charcoal drawing.
During my secondary school, we didnt get to try different kind of arts.
Oh yeah.. this piece was also selected for the foundation exhibition at the project space.

3D - Wire

Our GIANT dragonfruit!
Working as a team really helps us learn more coz the ideas of a few people are so much better than an individual's. My group members - Ash, Fiza, Mira and myself manage to produce a realistic dragonfruit made up of wires for our 3D group project.
Our Dragonfruit was born at my place coz the rest are not allowed to grow giant fruits in the house! Almost every day, my group members will come over to my crib to finish our wire project. With the help of our experienced group leader, Fiza, the whole thing turned out nice. She came up with the idea of how to weave the wires into the leaves of the dragonfruit.
Upon submission, the fruit was one of them which got selected to be displayed in the foundation exhibition at the project space.
We got paid $50 by this person who liked our dragonfruit. So we devided the money among us. =)

2D - Painting Perspective

For this painting, we had to make our own canvas coz Rashid, our lecturer, want us to learn how canvases are made before we could learn how to paint. We first had to buy raw canvas by metres and share it among our classmates and then buy wooden frames. After stretching the raw canvas over the wooden frame and stapling and all, we had to prime our canvases before we could start painting on it.

The objective of the project was for us to capture the perspective of the school and painting it.

Our paintings were then displayed in our first exhibition in school at the project space.

2D - Painting

THESE ARE MY FIRST FEW PAINTINGS USING ACRYLIC!
I never liked painting but i was eager to learn so that was why i joined Lasalle. To explore my abilities. Not bad right? ahahhaha... kidding.. but i'm trying to brush up on my painting skills coz im majoring in painting for diploma.
This was actually our first project which we had to do for 2D. 15 A5 size paintings on still life. I didnt like stil life, but i had to in order to be an Artist!

2D - Printmaking

My final printmaking piece. As usual, I always finish my works on the 11th hour.
I actually finished this piece in school when we(FA 1B classmates who are last minute too!) overnight in school a few days before assesment day. For this printmaking, it is an image of the coffee shop opposite our school and i only used 5 layers. Not impressive.
That was my first time in my life doing printmaking. When they first introduced this printmaking thing, i totally had no idea what it was until i tried it out for my 2d project.
i struggled during the process coz all of us totally had to do our own stuff so i had to do it on my own. It turned out okay anyway.

Media Project 1 - photoshop

Seeing Nature through Digital Eyes. My first photoshop assignment assigned by BK in semester1 for media arts project. Basically my work uses more of cutting as pasting and some alterations to make it look as if i was really coming out of the monitor and into the forest. It wasn't that good coz it's too simple and it doesn't show that much of the skills that i should be using. Anyway, this is the final piece and this is my idea of Seeing Nature throuhg Digital Eyes.
